MESSAGE FROM THE STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT, ANGELA FRASER What better than some social activities to lift our students' spirits after exam time! Plans for this term include two of the longest standing and most popular events, the Torcher Parade and the Student Show. This year's Show is entitled, 'Date Expectations', and tells the story of a local, matchmaking lass. The Show forms a major part of the annual Aberdeen Students' Charities Campaign - last year contributing over £24,000 to the final total! Tickets for Date Expectations are on sale now. To book tickets, or for more information on the Show or Torcher Parade, click here. We would love to hear your memories of student fundraising activities, including the schools visits, Torcher parades, Shows and so on. If you would like to share your memories, please email me at sapresident@abdn.ac.uk. If we get a good response we might be able to include some of these in the next e-bulletin! | BOOK OF THE MONTH Scottish author and stand up comedian, A L Kennedy has won the 2007 Costa Book of the Year award for her fifth novel, Day; the story of a former RAF prisoner of war returning to Germany to confront his demons.
