THE UNIVERSITY OF ABERDEEN IN CHINA AND HONG KONG The University of Aberdeen will once again be visiting China in March, and we would love to catch up with any of our alumni who are based in China! We will be attending the Education UK Exhibition in Shanghai on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th March 2008 at the Shanghai East Asia Exhibition Centre from 10:00 – 16:30 on both days, and in Guangzhou on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th March 2008 at the Dongfang Hotel from 13:00 – 18:00 on both days. We hope to also visit Hong Kong in May and, together with the Alumni Association of Hong Kong, organise an event for alumni and friends. In my role as an Alumni Ambassador I set up an informal alumni club in Beijing. We hold at least one event per month, these have included: alumni receptions, career networking events and lunchtime gatherings. You will have the opportunity to meet with fellow alumni and representatives from the University of Aberdeen, whilst enjoying a banquet dinner. This will kick start the many activities which the British Council plan to organise for its members this year, including: career development workshops, forums and parties.
